Washi Meets...Let it Snow!

I was listening to "Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!" with my kids the other day...and I made a couple of cards...this card is one of them:

A simple card using chevron washi tape, a die-cut border heat embossed in turquoise and a stamped sentiment (hostess stamp set-CTMH) adhered with foam tape.
I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch! #103 for this card:

And the colors are from Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Candy Cane.

Other challenges:

4. CASology Week 126: Snow
5. Cards in Envy: Christmas Carols Challenge

Mixed-Media {Tuesday} Technique: Home Card and Homemade Glitter Glue

The card:

The technique...Homemade Glitter Glue!

I was crafting with my boys and I had some leftover liquid glue (Martha Stewart) in a cup. I didn't want to waste it, so I added some glitter...and some more fell into the cup (due to lack of attention and/or clumsiness), making it thicker than it was.
So, I spread it with a popsicle stick on a piece of paper, let it dry and tore it for my card.
I'll try it with other liquid glues and see the results...

This card was inspired by Unity {be inspired} Challenge color combo...

Tumbleweed Houses stamps (Unity Stamp Co.)
liquid glue (Martha Stewart)
Copic markers
washi tape (CTMH)
Shin Han Touch Twin marker (CTMH)
die-cut from my new toy...Brother ScanNCut

Silver Joy Card

A card for CASology Week 125: Silver...

I used silver embossing powder for the wreaths, stamped "joy", trimmed the panel, rounded the corners and adhered with 3-D foam tape on the card base.

Have a nice week!

Polaroid Frame Christmas Card

Another card for a bunch of challenges...can you tell I'm trying to squeeze as much as I can in a card? =)

I don't have glitter embossing powder, so I decided to make my own...I mixed some holographic purple glitter with clear embossing powder and heat embossed the bigger snowflakes with it. It gave them a subtle sparkle against the textured cardstock...

Supplies (CTMH):
Artfully Sent Cricut Collection - frame and sentiment stamp
Silver Geometric Washi Tape
snowflakes stamps (Martha Stewart/EK Success)
Clear and Silver Embossing Powder
Heat Gun
