Decorate to Celebrate DT Challenge #108: Fall Cricut Garland

Hello, crafty friends!

It's time for Decorate to Celebrate! You can create anything 3-D for a chance to win a prize from Rhonda!

My sons painted some pumpkins and we used the leftover paint on some paper from IKEA.

After it dried, I cut leaves from my Artiste Cricut cartridge (and hand-cut some others).
I braided 2 yards of yarn.
Then, I simply stapled the leaves on.

I really liked how it turned out...simple and rustic...

Hi, crafty friends!
It's time for another new monthly challenge at House of Cards!  This month's challenge is.... create something, and add stitching --- real or faux!

Here's my card...and I'll also have a video tutorial on how to make the ruffle "ribbon" using washi tape on the 21st! So check back!

2. Simon Says Mon Trio of Colors (3 colors - Copic markers)

I used both real (on bunny, along his body) and faux stitching (stitch border stamp and washi tape ruffle "ribbon")!!!

Club Scrap August Blog Hop - Woven Strands + PS26 #17

(I have 2 posts today, so if you're looking for my Word Art Wednesday card, please click HERE)

Welcome to Club Scrap Woven Strands Blog Hop!!!

I'm super excited, as this is my first blog hop with Club Scrap!
For the complete list, go to Club Scrap's BLOG. Your next stop will be Lisa's BLOG!
This month, we are featuring the Woven Strands Collection...and here are my projects!

First, I have a scrapbook page (for my Project Scrapbook26 #17) inspired by a sketch from Sketch N Scrap Twist Back Thu #8:

P - patterned paper
A - accents (foil on tag and embroidered accents)
P - purple cardstock
E - embroidered doily
R - rhinestones

I used the green patterned paper, and 2 solid cardstocks as photo mats. On the left, the "half" knot was fussy cut from a cutaparts embellishment and colored with Copic marker.

Look at those lovely silver embroidered accents...layered on a cutaparts embellishment:

The wood veneer photo corner...I decided to leave it unfinished:

Do you see the clear tag with silver foil accents behind "Joy" (which I fussy cut from the cutaparts embellishment sheet and colored with Copic marker)?

I finished it up with scattered rhinestones for some bling!
I used elbow tweezers to help me with the tiny rhinestones...

My second project is a card, inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #137:

I used the same wood veneer photo corner, green patterned paper and rhinestones as the page above.
I added stamped borders, colored with Copic markers, and a sentiment heat embossed in silver.

Word Art Wed Aug Guest DT: Psalm 119:90

(I have 2 posts today...if you're looking for Club Scrap Blog Hop, please click HERE)

Hello, crafty friends!

This is my last week as a Guest DT over at Word Art Wednesday!

The sponsors for this week are: Heart & Soul Rubber Stamps and Deedee's Digis.
Link your projects (up to 5) for a chance to win fabulous prizes!

The verse is Psalm 119:90 this week and I went a little more clean for my card:

I simply used a star border punch and "everywhere" punch (Martha Stewart) on patterned paper to create my constellation.
I added silver shimmer trim (CTMH) and glitter gel on the smaller punched stars.
I printed my verse, trimmed it and inked the edges.
Finally, I added two enamel black stars.

Hope you've enjoyed my cards!
Thanks to everyone at Word Art Wednesday for the opportunity to be a Guest Designer for a wonderful challenge blog!

Have a nice day!

{Sun} Sweets: Club Scrap August Technique Challenge Project

Happy Sunday, crafty friends!

Today, I'm sharing a project I made for Club Scrap August Technique Challenge: Shaving Cream Marbling.
You can read about it on their blog (click HERE).

Here's my card:

So, I followed the instructions and once my paper was dry, I trimmed the panel and adhered on the card.
I stamped the sentiment and matted on cardstock. I stamped the tree, cut it out and colored it with Copic marker and colored pencil.
I added some rhinestones for a little bling!

I'm not gonna's a messy technique! But it's kinda addictive...once you start, you just can't stop! =)

Hope you give it a try, if you haven't yet! And don't forget to link you project!

Have a nice day!

{Sat} PS26 #16: Club Scrap DT Woven Strands Scrapbook Page

Happy Saturday!

I'm finally catching up on my Project Scrapbook26!
I have a page to share today...
I used a sketch from SketchNScrap #87:

And here's my take...very linear...
I'll add a photo of my hubby and me that a friend took last weekend. Just waiting for the pic!

I used mostly plain cardstocks, blue pearlescent paper and a patterned paper. I flicked some Walnut Ink for added interest.
I stamped and heat embossed (in silver) the "medallion" on the left...then, layered with the blue paper and a cutapart from the Woven Strands Club Scrap Deluxe Kit.

Some of the details:

I also added an embroidered doily and a wooden embellishment...I chose to leave it as is, but you could paint it to match your colors.

Woven Strands Club Scrap Deluxe Kit
Silver Embossing Powder
Heat Gun
Black Pen
VersaMagic Tea Leaves ink pad
Walnut Ink in green (Tsukineko/Imagine Crafts)
