Mixed-Media {Monday} with H2H: No Rules! Guest Designer

This is my last week as a guest designer for Heart 2 Heart CTMH Challenge Blog...

...and this week, the challenge is: NO rules!
So, who said that Picture My Life cards are just for pocket scrapbooking?

Here's a simple card, using two 3x4 cards:

I'm linking up this card in:

2. WAW #159: Anything Goes

And don't be afraid to mix and match washi tape and add a little of Artfully Sent! =)

Teal Shimmer Trim

Washi Meets...Birthday Party!!!

This is how washi tape can save your party...
I made these water bottle labels for my son's B party and ran out of my favorite adhesive, so I used another one. But it wasn't holding the paper in place...

Washi tape to the rescue!!!

I also used washi tape to attach stamped images on picks for the cupcake toppers!

Have a nice week!

H2H Guest Designer: Artfully Sent Projects

I'm the guest designer at Heart 2 Heart CTMH Challenge Blog this month and the newest challenge  is NO ink allowed
Another week without sad!

Just kidding! =)
This is a great opportunity for me to play with other tools other than stamps!
So, I decided to play with my Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge!

Here are my cards:

Joy: I cut a 4x6 pocket card, trimmed it for a A2 card, rounded the corners and added washi tape and silver shimmer trim. The gold polka-dot washi tape is actually not that wide, but I taped 2 strips and lined up the dots...

Noel: I changed the size of the pocket card on Cricut Craft Room (I have a E2) to fit the A2 card, added the washi tapes and gemstones, then added some glitter gel.

Tree: This one was a "little" more time consuming...Artfully Sent cut out the tree/banner design for me. I layered woodgrain washi tape on a piece of 5x7 cardstock and adhere behind the front panel (for the trunk cut out). Using the leftover leaves cut outs, I taped different washi tapes, trimmed and adhered them on. For the smaller leaves, I adhered and colored them with watercolored pencils.
I also added gold polka-dot washi tape for the banner and adhered them on.
Of course, to make your life easier, you could have taped washi tape on cardstock and cut them with the Cricut...but I decided to save some cardstock and washi tape...

Supplies (CTMH):
Artfully Sent Cricut Collection
White Daisy Cardstock
Silver Shimmer Trim
Gold Polka-Dots Washi Tape
Ruby Chevron Washi Tape
Woodgrain Washi Tape (retired, but available in Party Washi Tape 3-pack, while supplies last)
Teal Washi Tape (retired)
Silver Washi Tape (retired)
Glitz Glitter Gel (retired)
corner punch
Textured Cardstock
Washi Tape from my stash
Watercolor Pencils

And click HERE to see another card I made using Artfully Sent (for a CTMH consultants' Blog Hop)!

I'm entering the tree card in the following challenges:
1. WAW #157: Anything Goes
2. Runway Inspired #71: In Memory of Oscar de la Renta

Have a nice week!

Artfully Sent Cricut Blog Hop

Welcome to the Artfully Sent Blog Hop!

If you have come here from Haley's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants HERE.

This month, we have 43 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this exclusive CTMH Cricut cartridge. Just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!

Here's my card...

The cut-out cards from the cartridge are a perfect match for 2-sided patterned papers!

This is how I made this card:
1. Cut the card using white daisy cardstock
2. Mask the frame around the roses, and heat emboss them in red
3. Add glue and red glitter on a few of the "petals"
4. Cover the frame with washi tape
5. Cut a 2-sided patterned paper to size and adhere on the back of the front panel (I also adhere patterned paper on the adjacent side, but you could just leave it alone...)
6. Stamp sentiment and adhered with foam tape
7. Stamp a flower, color it with Copic and ShinHan Touch Twin Markers, and adhere using foam tape
8. Add gemstones on corner of the card and center of stamped flower
9. Add sentiment on inside of card

Here's the inside (I also colored the leaves with ShinHan Touch Twin marker):

Supplies (CTMH):
Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge
Lovely Birthday stamp set
White Daisy cardstock
Ivy Lane B&T paper (retired)
Foam Tape
Red embossing powder
Heat Gun
Red Glitter
Glue Pen
ShinHan TouchTwin Sap Green and Tender Pink markers
Copic marker
Yellow Gemstones
Washi Tape
