Hello, Kraftie Friends!
I tried a new Fun Fold Card - Pinwheel Tower Cards - and here are my first ones...
Card #1
This was my first try and I messed it up, since the panels were not straight enough. So I trimmed it down to 3.75" x 5.5" and figured I could still use it with embellishments sticking up on top, but still able to fit in a A2 envelope!
So I used scrap papers and a new die cut I bought recently...and voila'!
This is what it looks like from the top:
Card #2
I'll show the other 3 sides of both cards in another post + a video tutorial on how I made mine later...
And here are a couple of cards using die cuts from my scrap box...
Card #3
Frames were cut with a machine. I had the flower cut out also, so I just lined up the images and adhered the flower cut out on card with foam tape. Then, I added a stamped sentiment + shimmer brushed the flower cut out in Peach.
Card #4
I layered some die cut leaves, shimmer brushed the green leaves in Peach and adhered on card with foam tape. Some other die cut leaves were glued flat or adhered on card with foam tape. On the inside, I stamped "our friendship stays the same".
Challenges:
Card #1
1. The Flower Challenge #62: Add Leaves
2. Challenge Up Your Life #141: Interactive
3. Mix It Up #55: AGoes + 3-D Projects
Card #2
1. If you Give a Crafter a Cookie #162: November
Card #3
1. Beyond the Blue #41: Florals in Neutrals
Card #4
3. Happy Little Stampers Nov AGoes with Dies
Hello, Kraftie Friends!
I made a Pop-Up Box Card a long time ago (click HERE to see the post)...so, thought it was time to make similar cards with the same concept, but different designs...
These cards were inspired by Challenges that are using Book covers as inspiration...
The first one is very easy, since I used a Die Cut Set (Card In a Box - Christmas by Sizzix) plus other dies by Spellbinders...do you see a camouflaged birdie?
The second one was inspired by a card I saw on the homepage of SplitCoastStampers.com + me trying to make the most out of double-sided papers (I plan to make a video soon once I recover my voice...who knows when that will happen! lol!)
I used double-sided PP and some die cuts from Spellbinders, others are Sizzix and SU!, CTMH Cherry Blossoms Stamp Set, alcohol-based markers, Blue Belle Sequins, and an embossing folder from my stash. I made the box myself (unlike the previous box, which was die cut).
I was inspired by the "There's a Tiger in the Garden" cover...the plants, butterfly and flowers...just don't have a tiger on it...but I used the color orange!
Challenges:
Card #1
1. The Library Challenge #78: Garden Birdwatcher's Bible (inspired by elements from the cover)
2. Double Trouble #78: Wearin' o' the Green partnering with Use Your Stuff
3. Cuttlebug Mania: Today our Favorite Color is Green
Card #2
2. Beyond The Blue #5: Rustic Wood Background

Your next stop will be Debbie's Blog!
I chose to make a Card Folio (watch the video HERE) + some Pop-Up Cards (watch it HERE) and a Fun-Fold Card (inspired by this video HERE):
I used Pattern Play papers for the Card Folio, and papers and Embellishment Cutaparts for the Pop-Up Cards (the bright orange is colored printer paper).
I used self-adhesive Velcro for the closure, instead of the buttons and fiber, shown in the video:
I used the newest Scandinavia Collection for the Fun-Fold Cards...papers, Embellishment Cutaparts and the cute Scandinavia Pine Washi Tape.
Challenges:
1. Word Art Wed #306-#307: AGoes
2. Simon Says Wed: AGoes
