Scrapbook {Sat}: Moving Day Digital Page

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

I received Club Scrap Office Space Deluxe Kit + unmounted stamps this month...and I've been creating some stuff to show you...soon!
Meanwhile, I've been playing with the Office Space Digital Kit...I made this scrapbook page in 30 minutes or so (and I work kinda slow...):

I used the left side of the sketch from Let's Scrap Sketches 7-1-16 and flipped it.
I might have to move in a couple of months, so later on, all I have to do is add the photos and print it!

Challenges:
1. Let's Scrap Sketches 7-1-16

2. Word Art Wed #238-#239: Anything Goes

CWS#4 Mid-Month Inspiration: Sea Horse Birthday Card

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

It's time for the Creative with Stamps Challenge #4 Mid-Month Inspiration!

Check out the CWS Blog to see the Desing Team's cards!

Here's mine, using my own Sea Creatures Digital Stamp Set:

The panel is actually a Color Shine sprayed & smooshed stencil, but it still looks like ink splatters...I added some tiny seahorses (in Brilliance Pearlescent Purple), the sentiment and some stickers (Dahlia White Jewel Dazzles).

Spray used is Color Shine Teal (Heidi Swapp), stencil is Club Scrap.

I printed, cut out and colored the seahorse with Copic markers. I also added Dahlia White Jewel Dazzles, Dimensional Magic and sprinkled some glitter on it. After it dried, I adhered it on card with foam tape along with "seaweed", cut using my Cricut.

You'll have until the end of the month to link up your stamped cards (digis allowed!).

Birthday Cards

Make it in Minutes CAS Cards

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

I went to my church retreat last week and I had the chance to "teach" some rubber stamping...these are some of the cards I made there to show my friends some of the basic techniques...

The first one is a simple CAS card, using a flower border stamp. I stamped the border 3 times on the bottom and added a sentiment (CTMH). Later, I added some glitter on flowers:

Challenges:

1. Crafty Creations #319: Clean and Simple

2. Inspiration Destination #94: AGoes

3. The Crafty Addicts #19: Say it with Flowers

The second one is similar to the first, but I added a patterned paper mat. I also stamped the border without re-inking several times (generational stamping) for a ombre' look:

Challenges:

1. Addicted to CAS #92: Stripes

2. Craft Your Passion #320: Always AGoes

3. Crafting from the Heart #120: AGoes

4. Retarte #81: AGoes

For the last card, I used an old dress stamp (one of my favorites) and colored it with alcohol-based markers. Later, I added the washi tapes and sequins:

Challenges:

1. CAS on Sunday #87: Sequins

2. CASology #206: Art (of dress making)

3. STAMPlorations July CAS Challenge: AGoes (optional twist Orange)

4. Simon Says Mon: Flora and Fauna

5. Word Art Wed #238-#239: Anything Goes

6. Addicted to Stamps and More #202: Make Your Mark

7. CAS Mix Up July Challenge (my choice: sequins)

Butterfly Kisses

Washi Meets...Club Scrap Digital Kit Papillon

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

I've been playing with some Digital Kits from Club Scrap...this one is called Papillon.
I used PicMonkey.com to layer papers, overlays, and different graphics on a 4x6 base.

You could used these as Project Life cards, once printed...

...or as background papers for cards (you can also alter the colors in PicMonkey...in my case, my printer was running out of inks, but I liked the result and decided to use them anyway):

I trimmed the paper down, added Dahlia Butterfly Washi Tape, and matted with black on kraft card base. I added some dimensional glitter paint on tiny butterflies.

Next 2 cards also have the Dahlia Butterfly Washi Tape and glitter accents, but I added digital butterflies colored with alcohol-based markers:

Butterflies (Butterflies Kisses - Stamprints) were cut out and adhered on cards by the body...so you have a 3-D effect...

Challenges (Card #2):

1. Simon Says Mon: Flora and Fauna

2. The Sisterhood of Crafters: Animals

3. Word Art Wed #238-#239: Anything Goes

4. Addicted to Stamps and More #202: Make Your Mark

and

(Card #3)

1. Crafty Gals Corner #80: Monochromatic

2. Craft Your Passion #320: Always AGoes

3. Crafting from the Heart #120: AGoes

4. Retarte #81: AGoes

{Tue} Technique

{Tue} Technique: Stenciled Subway Art Background Summer Card

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

I had no internet last Friday, then was out of town...didn't post much last week, either...but I'm back with a card, that I was supposed to finish in the afternoon (but didn't), so sorry for the poor lighting...

will be back tomorrow with a better photo!

I created my own "subway art" background using Simon Says Stamp Stencil BIG WORDS and Simon Says Clear Stamps POOL PLAY.

First, I stenciled the words using a mix of blue inks that were on my Ranger MINI ROUND INK BLENDING TOOL plus Tsukineko Memento Ink Pad SUMMER SKY. Then I stamped the definition image, using the same Memento Ink Pad SUMMER SKY, and generational stamping.

I also stamped "fun in the sun" on 2 corners, using Memento Ink Pad CANTALOUPE.

The stamp set has matching dies (Simon Says Stamp SUMMER FUN Wafer Dies), so I cut out the boy shape and stamped it, using Memento TUXEDO BLACK, and adhered it on card.

I colored the boy with colored pencil (skin), Copic markers for the hair, and Tim Holtz Distress Markers PEACOCK FEATHERS and SQUEEZED LEMONADE (Ranger) on swimming trunk and gears.

I also diluted Simon Says Stamp Premium Dye Ink Pad ISLAND BLUE with water and watercolored the gears.

To finish it off, I stamped the fish and bubbles with ISLAND BLUE, adhered the panel on blue card base and inked the edges, using Ranger MINI ROUND INK BLENDING TOOL and ISLAND BLUE.

If you like the stamp set and dies, you can get the bundle: Simon Says Stamps and Die Set HAPPY SWIMMERS Set.

BTW, I have a coupon code for Simon Says Stamp!!!

Use the CODE "SUNNY" to take $5 off, any purchase of $5 or more (valid until July 13th, 11:59 EST - not valid on Card Kits)! Just click HERE to start shopping! =)

ETA (07/13): Here's a better photo...

I decided to add some Dimensional Magic on goggles and bubbles...

Challenges:

1. Simon Says Wed: Photo Inspiration

2. Word Art Wed #238-#239: Anything Goes

3. Addicted to Stamps and More #202: Make Your Mark

4. Happy Little Stampers July Anything Goes with Dies

Club Scrap Jun Blog Hop + Linky Party: Boardwalk

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

Welcome to Club Scrap's Blog Hop and Linky Party!!!
This month we're featuring the Boardwalk Collection...

If you came from Karen's Post (at Club Scrap's Blog), you're in the right place!
Your next stop is Kay's Blog!!!

Hop and then create a project and link it HERE!

Here are my projects...

Boardwalk Collection is perfect for Beach/Summer/Vacation themes!
I used printed paper as base, a strip of plain paper with photo mats (Hypno Vintage Paper Pack), and some stamped embellishments (Boardwalk Art Nouveau and Jumbo unmounted stamps).
I stamped the lobster and crabs, cut them out and colored them with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Stain BARN DOOR (Ranger). I thought it would be funny to place the crabs on the beach chairs! =)
I also added some Mod Podge Dimensional Magic Glitter Gold on the eyes.
I added the stamped border and the sentiment (with foam tape).

And I love the versatility of the Boardwalk Collection!
If you don't want to make vacation themed pages...4th of July is almost here!

Some of the papers are perfect for the firework/BBQ photos you'll be taking! =)
I made a mix of traditional and pocket scrapbooking.
On the left, I used printed papers, plain papers and photo mats, a border from Boardwalk Embellishment Cutaparts, Boardwalk Wood Veneer Tag & Stars and the awesome baker's twine (from Boardwalk Fibers). I adhered the Boardwalk Wood Veneer Stars with Mod Podge Dimensional Magic Glitter Gold and I also applied it on the Stars for a bit of shine!
On the right, I used printed papers, plain papers, and Boardwalk Embellishment Cutaparts (some of them are just the right size!).

And last, but not the least...if you like to use Digital Kits, Boardwalk Digital Kit is an awesome one to have:

Once I chose the images I wanted, it didn't really take me a long time to finish this page!
I chose my background paper, added the grass, sand, ribbons, umbrella and chairs images.
I added an image for the background and faded it a bit.
Finally, I added the frames and photos.

Hope you've enjoyed my projects!
And don't forget to go to Kay's Blog to see what she has created!

Challenges:
1. Craft Your Passion #318: Always AGoes
2. Word Art Wed #236-#237: AGoes

{Tue} Tag

{Tue} Tag: Tim Holtz's June Tag Inspired Tag

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

I took a gelatin printing class with Dina Wakley about a month ago...so cool!
We made some prints using GelliArts 8 x 10 LARGE GEL PRINTING PLATE, Dina Wakley's Paints and Stencils, and turned them into a journal!
I had a piece of Tim Holtz Idea-ology PLAIN TISSUE WRAP printed and that's what I used for this tag:

(Sorry about the photo...I used my cellphone, so it might not be the best quality...)

I adhered the Tim Holtz printed Tissue Wrap on cardstock and trimmed it into a tag. I added some more color with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Stain BARN DOOR (Ranger) and Distress Ink Stain TUMBLED GLASS.
I used a flower stem stamp (Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps FLOWER GARDEN) as a branch, colored it with Copic marker and used a white gel pen for highlights.
I stamped paintbrushes and heart (Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps MINI BIRD CRAZY AND THINGS) with CTMH white ink pad.
I stamped the bird and paintbrush on white cardstock, colored with Copic markers, cut them out and adhered on tag.
I stamped the fedora and tie on white cardstock, cut them out and colored them with Copic markers (I drew the plaid patterned on them).
Finally, I added some faux stitches around and "color your world" with a black pen and the fibers.

I would like to link it to:
1. Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 June Tag
2. Craft Your Passion #318: Always AGoes
3. Word Art Wed #236-#237: AGoes

Club Scrap Jun Artiste Team Challenge + Blog Hop: Hypno

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

Welcome to Club Scrap's Artist Team Challenge + Blog Hop!

If you came from Deb's Blog, you're in the right place!
Go to Club Scrap's Blog for the complete Blog Hop List!

This month, the team was challenged to use the Hypno Vintage Paper Pack...there are 3 versions to choose from...here's a photo of Version #1:

Here's my 2-page scrapbook layout (you can click on each page to view it larger):

I used some plain cardstock from the Boardwalk Collection, since the Hypno Papers are text-weight.
On the Left, I tore 3 edges of one Hypno Paper (Version #2) and adhered it on base.
I tore a photo mat, some other designs from the papers and collaged them on page.
On the Right, I trimmed 9 squares, distressed the edges and adhered them on base. I drew a frame around using a black pen. I cut out some designs from the papers to adhere on some squares (the arrows, numbers and label).

You could just stop there or add more embellishments...since I got some Club Scrap Digital Kits, my plan is to print some embellishments, cut them out and add them to the pages (once I fix my printer!). This is what they will look like:
