Hello, Kraftie Friends!
It's a new month and a new Inspiration Challenge at Paper Sweeties!!!
Here's the beautiful photo & color combo:
Here's my card:
I distressed the edges of the orange cardstock and adhered it on card.
I embossed a grey panel, distressed the edges and added seam binding. I tied 2 small lengths of seam binding and added a bow. Then, I adhered the panel on card.
I used Thankful stamp set and black ink to stamp the hat on green cardstock and pumpkin on orange cardstock. I cut them out and colored them with alcohol-based markers and gel pen before adding them to the card (The images also have coordinating die cuts - Thankful Sweet Cuts).
Finally, I added some sequins (Paper Sweeties Cupcake Sprinkles).

Challenges:
Hello, Kraftie Friends!
It's time for a new challenge at The Card Concept - {Chevron Pumpkin}!
Here's the photo inspiration:
Feel free to use any of the styles of our team or better yet, share you own style by combining one or more of the styles. We want you to have fun and make a card in a style that you feel good about!
And here's my mixed media card, inspired by the chevron pumpkin and colors:
I started with an embossed panel that I die cut. I used Gel Sticks + water on a craft mat to watercolor it. I adhered a die cut doily (SU!), trimmed it and adhered the panel to the kraft card base.
I tied a sequined thread on the bottom.
I used a pumpkin digital stamp from QKR Stampede, cut it out and colored it using alcohol-based markers. I even drew some chevron pattern on it!
I stamped 3 flowers (Paper Sweeties) and colored them with Copic markers. I added some Dimensional Magic + glitter in the flowers' centers.
I die cut "Autumn" and watercolored the bottom with Gel Stick. I also added Dimensional Magic and sprinkled some glitter.
Finally, I arranged the elements on the card, using foam tape for the pumpkin.

Here's my card...inspired by the pumpkins and colors:
I used STAMPlorations' Digital Stamps...I printed the sentiment, die cut it (Stitched Rectangles/The Stamps of Life) and blended some inks with the Mini Round Ink Blending Tool (Ranger).
I printed 3 pumpkin squares, trimmed and colored them with alcohol-based markers. The square in the middle was adhered with foam tape, for dimension.
Then I added some sequins.

We're featuring the Huntington Paper Collection this month.
I love the autumn colors in it! And I had so many ideas for this Blog Hop: scrapbook layouts, cards, place cards, candle ring...you name it! But then, I decided to use this new Kraft Pocket Album from CTMH.
My family usually goes to an Apple Orchard every year. So, I thought I would slide the pictures in the pockets, and maybe some small ones outside the pockets plus some journaling and embellishments...just like what you would do with My Crush™ Books (an upcoming project).
For the Pocket Album, I actually used the "leftovers" from my Huntington WOTG Scrapbooking Kit. I completed the two 2-page layouts, and I was still left with lots of paper for future projects...
After I decided where I wanted the pieces of paper, I simply used Mod Podge® to adhere them on the cover. Then, I used my Cricut and the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut some embellishments (flourish and flowers) and added them to the cover. I also added the Bronze Shimmer Trim on the spine.
detail of the cover:
I'm still working on the inside...but here's a peek:
Your next stop is Tracey's Blog...hope you enjoy our Blog Hop!
And don't forget to check the monthly specials HERE.

My sons are sick...so, consequently, I'm sick...been feeling under the weather for almost a week now... =(
But my kids don't really care that they are sick, so my son N and I made this 3-D Pumpkin on Sunday...our first Cricut project!!! =)
I bought the Cricut Expression 2 a couple of weeks ago, but hadn't have the time to play with it...until 2 days ago! This project was just a test...I was playing with the Cricut Craft Room.
My son N helped me glue the pieces together. And now that I look at it, I should have used a solid color paper on the inside...oh, well! I just grabbed the first papers I saw...
P.S. I should have bought the Cricut a long time ago...but I was happy with my Slice!
But I'm glad I waited, 'cause I bought it on clearance at Hobby Lobby at a very good price! =)
Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, my...
It's been over a month since I last posted...that's sad! =(
I've been busy with work...and the Craft Show...
It's only 2 weeks away and I'm freaking out!
So, the Craft Show is called the Alley Walk and it's in Rockford, IL.
This year it will be on September 11th...
It will be my third time there but this year I'm sharing the spot with my friend Javelin, from
Prim and Plush.
I've been working on cards, tags, premade scrapbook albums and layouts, etc...
Hopefully, I'll have some pictures to post soon...
Meanwhile, I was "cleaning up" my computer the other day and found some cards I haven't posted here yet...
So, here's one of them...since Autumn is almost here! =)

Supplies: Stamp (EK Success), Rub-On (7gpsies)
