Today we're having the Club Scrap November Artist Team Challenge Blog Hop!

The November challenge is to utilize elements from at least three different kits...and I made a Scrapbook Album (I trimmed the pages 8" x 8.5"):

I had to think a lot whether I wanted to add more to it...I was thinking about a title...something like: "A few of our Favorite Things"...but I ended up leaving it "plain". Papers are Crewel & Unusual and ribbon is from Literature Fibers.

Literature 2-Page Layout

Happy Monday, Kraftie Friends!

How was your weekend?

Guess how mine was...

My in-laws are visiting and last Friday, my FIL had a heart attack and went to the hospital. He had to get 2 stents and was released yesterday...

On Sunday, my son N went to the doctor and...ear infection!!! So, he has to take medication for 10 days...

Also, my son B had some reactions to the bunch of shots he took last Tuesday...so, diarrhea a few times and a rash yesterday...

Anyway...my internet was having problems last week and I couldn't edit some projects for the Club Scrap October Literature Blog Hop (click HERE to see)...but now it's fixed and here's the full project I was supposed to show off last week:

I took some pictures of my kids and DH reading a book on our new couch.
I basically used the pretty printed papers and Literature Embellishment Cutaparts from the Literature Deluxe Kit I got.
I still have to journal on the Literature Embellishment Cutapart that looks like a library card.

Simple, but when you have a weekend like mine...

Good thing they are all better now!!!
My FIL is seeing the doctor today to find out if he can fly back home!

Well, if you didn't know, I moved end of last month and I'm still unpacking (I have a toddler who keeps asking me to play with him, instead of unpacking...sure, why not?)...
...but I was smarter this time! I kept my basic craft tools and Literature Kit in a box, in my car! So it wasn't too hard to find them! =)

Here are some scrapbook pages...very easy ones, if you have limited supplies!
Since the Literature Collection has some pretty printed papers, you really don't need much...

For this page, I tore the dark brown cardstock to go behind the shimmery brown photo mat (so pretty in person!).
I trimmed one of the Literature Embellishment Cutaparts in diagonal to make photo corners.
Add the photo and...

...a little Dimensional Magic in the flower's center...and you're done!
Well, I wanted a title, but I don't know where my letter stickers are...so I made a composite here with Dahlia Digital Kit, so you have an idea of what I was going for (although, I like it so much, I might just print them, cut them out and use them as stickers...).

The bay stallion in the pic is a Straight Egyptian Arabian stallion - Magic Elixir.
I took it at the Amethyst Acres Equine Center Open House about a month ago...isn't he gorgeous?

This one was supposed to be a 2-page layout, but I'm having issues with my internet, so I couldn't edit the right page...here's the left page:

I used printed papers and Literature Embellishment Cutaparts on this page.

I have pictures of my kids and husband reading together on our new couch!

I can try to post the other page and some of the pics later! =)

{Tue} Technique

{Tue} Technique: Dry Embossing on Patterned Paper

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

Club Scrap has a Technique Challenge & Linky Party every month...and October's technique is to use embossing folders (click HERE to check it and link your projects).

Pam, the host, has lots of great techniques to show you!

Here's my card, using an embossing folder on patterned paper, from my Literature Club Scrap Deluxe Kit:

I embossed the printed paper (Cuttlebug folder) and adhered 2 different ribbons on, before adhering it to the card base.

I trimmed a tag and stamped it in orange, using Literature Jumbo unmounted stamps.

I die cut leaves (Spellbinders), watercolored them with gel stick + water and adhered them on tag.

I stamped sentiment (Literature Greeting unmounted stamps), cut it out, distressed the edges and adhered it on leaves.

Finally, I added a bow (Literature Fibers) on tag.

And, of course, it's super hard to see in the photo, but here's a close-up...

Hum...still hard to see? You'll just have to believe me that I embossed that patterned paper! =)

Birthday Cards

Make a Wish Card

Thank you so much for your lovely comments! Sorry I haven't been visiting you lately...I just finished moving last weekend and I've been "trying" to unpack...but I also got sick this week! =(

So, things are kinda slow here...

But I made this card today for Mojo Monday Challenge #468:

Colors were inspired by Color Throwdown #413 combo and I used papers and stamps from Club Scrap.

I punched a border and stamped (Literature Art Nouveau Unmounted Stamps) on the kraft paper (although it's really hard to see in photo).

Orange panel was stamped (Literature Greetings Unmounted Stamps), edges were inked and I also used a glitter gel pen on "Make a Wish" for extra shine.

Round image was stamped, cut out and adhered on with foam tape.

After I finished it up with sequins, I did make a wish...I wished I didn't have to unpack anymore! =)
