{Sun} Sweets: Inspired by Sketches Cards

Hello, Kraftie Friends!!!

Happy Sunday!
I have a couple of cards to share today...first one, I had the papers + image laid down already on my desk, when I saw this CAS on Friday Challenge #183 Sketch...and it was almost the same I had in mind!!!

So, I just had to add the sentiment and some other details...plus the colors from Color My Heart #400 Celebrartion: Shades of Purple, Blue and Green...

...and here's my card (I'll have a Process Video later):

I used CTMH D1920 You Make Me Happy stamp set and Mix-In papers.
If you purchase the stamp set, CTMH will donate $7 to Operation Smile, a non-profit organization that provides surgeries to repair cleft lips and palates in children around the world.

I used Jane Davenport's Glitz Sea Sparkle Markers to color the card.

CAS(E) this Sketch Guest Designer: I melt for You! Card

Hello, Kraftie Friends!!!

It's been busy around here, so I haven't posted much lately...even this post is late!
I was honored to have been chosen as a winner at CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge Blog months ago...and even more honored to be their Guest Designer for today's challenge!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my card...I was inspired by the crazy flavors and/or colored ice cream that my boys choose sometimes! =)

I used a patterned card base and Hero Arts layering stamp set. White panel die cut is ODBD.

Paper Sweeties September Inspiration Challenge - Anything Goes!

Hello, Kraftie Friends!!!

It's September 1st...so, it's time for a new challenge at Paper Sweeties!!!

Here's my card:

I stamped the lines, using Window Elements stamp set, in 2 different colors. Some were done without re-inking the stamps. I trimmed the panel and I used my score tool to score some vertical lines.

I stamped flowers (Thankful stamp set) on red paper, cut them out and added dimensional paint in the centers. Let them dry and arrange them on the panel.

I die cut "hugs" (Sweet Cuts - Thanks) and adhere it on the panel.

Then, I added some sequins from Sequins - Cupcake Sprinkles.

Club Scrap August Technique: Old Technique with a Twist

Hello, Kraftie Friends!!!

It's my turn to host the monthly Technique Challenge at Club Scrap!

I chose one of my favorite techniques…heat embossing!

It’s an oldie, but goodie technique…but not very challenging (you might be thinking!)…so let’s add a twist to it!

The challenge is to use heat embossing on dark-colored papers!

{Tue} Technique

{Tue} Technique: Pattern Play Butterfly Spinner Card

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

Club Scrap has a Technique Challenge going on...click HERE to see the post and for a tutorial from my team mate Hetty!

I used Pattern Play printed papers and stamp (Pattern Play Greeting unmounted stamps).
I used a butterfly die I have and die cut 3 of them, one in a different color (on the back).

CWS #14 Mid-Month Inspiration: Flowers

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Today is Mid-Month Inspiration at Creative With Stamps Challenge Blog!

Here's one of my cards, using Sponsor's image - Magnolia Branch:

I printed Magnolia Branch once with the sentiment (Ann's Garden Digital Set - Stamprints), trimmed a panel and added some washi tapes on card before adhering the panel on.
I colored the leaves with Spectrum Noir markers.
I printed a second Magnolia Branch image and cut out the flowers. I colored the flower center, shaped them for some dimension and adhered them on with foam tape.
Finally I added some enamel dots.

But I stamped the sentiment (CTMH) on the panel this time and colored the flowers with alcohol-based markers and watercolors.

And here's my card:

I stamped baby booties (in yellow) and the Owl family (in brown) on a panel. I distressed the edges with an Edge Distresser (CTMH) and adhered it on the card base.
I use my Cricut to cut the "Welcome Baby" banner (Flower Market CTMH Cricut cartridge) and added some buttons (Fancy Pants Designs).
I colored the owls (Stampin'Up) with alcohol-based markers, added "grass" and some enamel dots.

I bought some Illustrator by Spectrum Noir alcohol-based markers when they were 50% at Michael's and have been trying them out! I'm actually quite impressed with them...and glad I could find cheaper markers to replace my dried Copics! =)

This is my 5"x 7" card, using EyeConnect Crafts' Lace-Up: Celebration, Flags...

I brushed white gesso on the Lace-Up: Celebration, Flags, let dry and removed them from the carrier.

I taped different washi tapes on the Flags, trimmed the excess off, re-punched the holes and added a polka-dot ribbon.

I trimmed a light pink panel and stamped "chicken wire" (center) and sentiment (around the edges) with light pink ink (CTMH stamps).

I die cut a white frame in my ScanNCut and stamped texture (CTMH) with brown ink. I outlined it with a fine tip black pen and adhered it on the pink panel.

I stamped sentiment in brown and added a cluster of paper flowers, with sequins in the centers.

Finally, I added the Flags on with foam tape for dimension.

Here's my card, using my L'Amour Digital stamp set:

I printed the sentiment, die cut a panel and adhered it on black cardstock.
Then, I die cut the patterned paper and trimmed a little bit off (to show the sentiment), before adhering it on panel.
I printed the heart, cut it out, colored the image with alcohol-based markers + red glitter on berries and adhered it on card with foam tape.

French Dies {Fri}: Hello Mojo

Happy Friday, Kraftie Friends!

I've been playing with some new dies I bought and some sketch challenges...

I bought Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies (CUTplorations by STAMPlorations) and used in the card below with Club Scrap Succulents Digital Kit papers and stamps, sentiment stamp (CTMH) and some sequins:

My second card has a doily die from QuicKutz:

I die cut a printed paper from Club Scrap Color Me Happy and adhered it on a stamped background (Written Hearts - my design - available at Sonshine Stamp Co.).

I added some squares (Club Scrap Color Me Happy Digital Kit), an ink smooshed + stamped heart (that I hand cut), and a stamped heart (Written Hearts), with foam tape.

I adhered the panel on card base, added a sentiment (Clearly Besotted), washi tape border and sequins.
