Hello and welcome to Club Scrap's February Blog Hop!
This month we're featuring Crewel & Unusual Collection...
If you came from Club Scrap's Blog (Karen's post), you're in the right place!
Your next stop is Kay's Blog!
Before I show off my project, I just wanted to say that Club Scrap cardstocks are the best!
They are soo heavy weight that sometimes it's hard to score and fold them...if you're making cards! But hey! If you scrapbook more or make albums, they are awesome! THE BEST!
OK...so I decided to make something different this month...a Star Book!
Instructions were found HERE.
The only thing different I did was for the covers. Like I said, the cardstock is so heavy-weight that I just used a patterned one for the covers (4"x4").
And a card inspired by RetroSketches Challenge #203:

So, here are the papers, trimmed on the left, the paper for the covers and the ribbon:
Adhering the pages (if you have a scoring board, it's great to help you center and align the papers):
It's better to decorate the pages before you adhere them together.
Preparing the cover and ribbon (I used double-sided tape, but you can use liquid glue):
Book closed:
Opened:
If you prefer, you can wrap the ribbon around and tie it. Use at least a yard of ribbon, though.
All products used are from Crewel & Unusual Deluxe Kit (cardstocks, patterned papers, cutapart embellishments, ribbon).
