Washi Meets...The Card Concept DT #44: Photo Inspiration - Christmas Card
Wednesday, November 18, 2015
Hello, Crafty Friends!
It's time for a new challenge at The Card Concept - {Festive Glory}!
Come and join us and try your hand at a brand new "style" of card making or work in your comfort zone, it is totally up to you!
Here's the photo inspiration:
Feel free to use any of the styles of our team or better yet, share you own style by combining one or more of the styles. We want you to have fun and make a card in a style that you feel good about!
The styles are explained HERE.
Here's my mixed media card...I was inspired by the colors and poinsettia plants:
I used pocket scrapbooking cards for my background. I added washi tape and gold dots (dimensional fabric paint). I stamped collage using 2 different inks, tore and inked the edges.
I stamped poinsettia image (Inkadinkado), colored with paint (All-Purpose Ink from Imagine Crafts) and Copic markers and added gold dimensional paint in the center.
I decided to add more stamping (small snowflakes: Frosty Friends - Rubber Dance Art Stamps) and more gold dots.

2. CHNC #255: Red and Green must be seen
3. Sparkles Christmas Challenge #59: Christmas Decorations

Very beautiful Christmas card...Anyway, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful project with us this week at Word Art Wednesday. Leaving you with the encouragement of God's Word in Psalm 27:1 which says, "The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?" Hugs and blessings!
