{Tue} Technique

{Tue} Technique: Make Your Own Background

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

Paper Sweeties is sponsoring Pile It On #114 - Make Your Own Background - and the prize is a $25 Gift Certificate!

I created my own background by stamping the star image (Planner Series - Get Your Craft On/Paper Sweeties) in different colors. I trimmed the panel to size and used a piercing tool on the edges.

I placed a mask (Dina Wakley) on the bottom right corner and sprayed the panel with ColorShine (Heidi Swapp).

The sentiment is a sticker and I placed it on white + printed paper, trimming one end and adhered it on card.

Finally, I added some sequins (Sequins - Cookie Dough/Paper Sweeties)!

French Dies {Fri}: Sunflowers Birthday Card + ATC

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

I bought Stitched Rectangles Dies (The Stamps of Life) last weekend and I have been using it a lot!

I also received my August Kit from Club Scrap - Sunflowers this week...so here's what I made:

I die cut a printed paper and adhered it on card.

I stamped the collage image and colored it with different Distress Stains. The center was also colored with Copic marker. I cut it out, matted on dark brown cardstock, added the twine and adhered on card.

I stamped the sentiment, traced it with Copic marker, cut it out, inked the edges and adhered on image.

Challenges:

1. Word Art Wed #242- #243: AGoes

2. Simon Says Wed: Fabulous Florals
3. Simon Says Mon: Celebrate
4. DL.Art Thankful Thursday #185: AGoes
5. DRS #238: Hot Trends - Sun Rays! (the sunflower looks like it's a sun with sun rays?)
6. Seize the Birthday: AGoes (optional Pink & Brown)

7. House of Cards Aug Challenge: Use Twine and/or Colors

*******************************

And I also have an ATC to share, but no dies on this one...

Instead, I used Club Scrap Sunflowers Digital Kit to layer the sunflowers and "shine" on the background paper. I printed it, trimmed it and inked the edges.
I colored the image with colored pencils.
I outlined the "shine" with Dimensional Magic and sprinkled some glitter on.

Challenges:
1. ATC around the World #20: AGoes with optional Photo Inspiration
2. Simply Papercraft #34: AGoes

I layered it on a die cut patterned paper and adhered on the card base.
