{Thu} Technique: Shaving Cream Marbling + 2 more cards
Thursday, September 08, 2016
Hello, Kraftie Friends!
It's been crazy around here packing for the move...my baby going to kindergarten...I'm trying to craft as much as I can before I have to pack my craft supplies! =)
I made a few cards for a few challenges...
This first one uses a strip of shaving cream-marbled paper...this technique is messy, but fun!!!
Spray some shaving cream on a flat surface and drop some dye inks (I used yellow and blue). Use a stick to mix the colors (I did it in a zig zag motion, but you can try other patterns). Lay your paper on top, press it down a bit and remove it. I used a ruler to scrape off the excess shaving cream on the paper and let dry.
I added some Sunflowers Washi Tape (Club Scrap), a stenciled panel (Garden Shed Words Stencil/Club Scrap) and a stamped butterfly (Garden Shed Art Nouveau unmounted stamps/Club Scrap), colored with Copic markers. Panels were die cut, using Stitched Rectangles dies (The Stamps of Life). I also added some Dimensional Magic Glitter Gold on the wings.
Challenges:
1. Mojo Monday #464 Contest
2. CAS Mix Up Sep Challenge: Stamping + Marbling + Stenciling
Panel was die cut using Stitched Rectangles (The Stamps of Life) and printed paper from Club Scrap. I added the ribbon, bow and a digital stamp (Garden Shed Digital Kit), cut out, colored with Copic markers and adhered with foam tape. I added a stenciled word (Garden Shed Words Stencil/Club Scrap) and some sequins.
Challenges:
1. Cupcake Inspirations #374
2. Double D: Down on the Farm
3. The Sisterhood of Crafters: Pretty Pretty Ribbons
4. Word Art Wed #246- #247: AGoes
I cut the circles with my ScanNCut, stamped them and blended some color. I added a stamped Wood Plant Stake and ribbon. I stamped the watering can, cut it out, colored it with Copic marker and adhered it with foam tape.
Stamps used are Garden Shed Art Nouveau, Jumbo and Greeting unmounted stamps.
Challenges:
1. Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #81
