{Tue} Tag(s): Tim Holtz July Tag and Tag You're It Inspired

Tuesday, July 26, 2016

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

I've been playing with my Gel Press lately...even my kids enjoy playing with it!

I made a tag, using a gel printed background, inspired by Tim Holtz's July Tag:

I used pearlescent paints and Dina Wakley's SQUARES Paint CombGRAPHIC SHAPES Media Mask and Stencil and Dyan Reaveley Stencil 5 x 8 TRIANGLES.
The stamps are Tim Holtz FLOWER GARDEN and the "happy" die cut is Simon Says Stamp HAPPY.
I used Distress Stains Tim Holtz TUMBLED GLASSMUSTARD SEED, and Distress Marker SQUEEZED LEMONADE (Ranger) to color the flowers. I used alcohol-based markers on the stem.
I added Dimensional Magic to flower's center and sprinkled some gold glitter on.
Finally, I added seam binding (Paper Sweeties) and some wooden embellishments.

Challenges:
1. Tim Holtz's July Tag
2. Word Art Wed #240-#241: AGoes
3. Simon Says Stamp Mon Challenge: Add Some Texture
4. Cuttlebug Mania: Summer

******************************

I also have a second tag (on a card), inspired by Amy Tsuruta's tag over at Tag You're It! #52...

Here's my card:

I used Stampendous BOUQUET FOR YOU...first I stamped the bottle and stems on tag and colored with Tim Holtz Distress Stain TUMBLED GLASS and BUNDLED SAGE.
Then, I stamped flowers, cut them out and colored them with Distress Stains Tim Holtz BARN DOOR and MUSTARD SEED and alcohol-based markers (leaves).
I added Dimensional Magic to the gold-foiled paper and flower's centers and sprinkled some gold glitter on.
I adhered the tag on card base, added some sequins and a sentiment.

Challenges:
1. Tag You're It! #52
2. Craft Your Passion #322: Always AGoes
3. Crafting from the Heart #122: AGoes
4. Less is More #286-#287: Recipe - Use something Tactile
