{Sun} Sweets: Vintage Botany Card

I have a card to share today...

I die cut a red panel using a Sizzix die and stamped "text" (Club Scrap Orchard Art Nouveau unmounted stamps) in black.

I stamped flowers (Club Scrap Vintage Botany Jumbo unmounted stamps) on black cardstock and heat embossed it in white. I die cut the panel using ODBD Stitched Rectangles die.

I colored the flowers and leaves with Glitter Brush Pens (Spectrum Noir) and added some red enamel dots.

Glitter Brush Pen Club Scrap Cards

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

I have a couple of cards to share today...first one is for the Club Scrap August Challenge Technique - Embossing on Dark Paper - that I'm hosting this month! If you haven't joined yet, you still have time to play!

I stamped the image (click HERE to see the stamp set) with VersaMark, on black paper, and heat embossed it in white. I die cut (ODBD) the panel out with my Cuttlebug.
Then, I decided to try out my Glitter Brush Pens (Spectrum Noir) in different colors...
As you can see below, it didn't work! =)

But it still looked pretty, so I played with it a bit...while trying to forget how frustrating it was to assemble the pens...I did break one...I guess, I'm pretty strong...
Anyway, after it dried, I blended the glitter with my fingers to spread out the glitter accumulated in certain areas.

Here's the second one:

I used the same frame die, and stamped the sentiment and image (Club Scrap Lagoon Jumbo unmounted stamps) on.
I highlighted some words with alcohol-based markers and colored the mermaid tail and bubbles with Glitter Brush Pens (in green and clear)...this time it worked! You can see the color!!!
Then, I added some Lagoon Teal Jewel Stickers on.

Club Scrap August Technique: Old Technique with a Twist

Hello, Kraftie Friends!!!

It's my turn to host the monthly Technique Challenge at Club Scrap!

I chose one of my favorite techniques…heat embossing!

It’s an oldie, but goodie technique…but not very challenging (you might be thinking!)…so let’s add a twist to it!

The challenge is to use heat embossing on dark-colored papers!

This month, Club Scrap's Artist Team was challenged to create projects inspired by the July NBUS Challenge on the Club Scrap chat forum: to make pages, cards, or other projects featuring a “frame” (or frames) designed using rubber stamps or stencils.

Since I usually stamp, I thought it would be nice to do a different technique, so I went with stenciling!
I trimmed a 5" x 7" mat and stenciled the arrows (Adirondacks Arrows and Words Stencil) using Memento Rich Cocoa ink pad and round Blending Tool.

Here's the page without photo...
I tore some printed paper and inked the edges, added one more with arrows and the Embellishment Cutapart (I rounded the corners and added Ribbon - Adirondacks Fibers - with a stapler). Supplies are from Club Scrap Adirondacks Collection.
Then, I added the wooden arrows (from an older Collection - Navigation).

Then, I thought it would be fun to die cut a stenciled frame for a card:

I stenciled the words (Garden Shed Words Stencil) on Adirondacks plain paper and die cut using 2 ODBD Stitched Rectangles dies (save the smaller panel for another project!)

I stamped the flower image (Vintage Botany Jumbo unmounted stamps) on the white card base and colored it with colored pencils.
I added the Kraft Raffia (Adirondacks Fibers) on the frame and adhered it with foam tape.
I added some Dimensional Paint in Gold and Glitter on the flowers.

I had an alarm clock box laying around...and it was the perfect size for A2 greeting cards (4.25" x 5.5")...so, guess what I did?

I used a 8.5" x 11" Vintage Botany printed paper and covered the box:

I added some ribbon and lace (Vintage Botany Fibers) on the top and decorated the box with printed designs from Vintage Botany Digital Kit.

And what a box without cards?
I used elements from Vintage Botany Digital Kit on all of them:

Card #2: I colored the flowers with colored pencils, tore and inked the edges of the paper. I added Dimensional Magic in the flower's center and a Vintage Botany Postage Stamp Button.

Card #3: I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers. I also added Dimensional Magic in the flower's center and a Vintage Botany Postage Stamp Button.

Cards #4: I added some Vintage Botany Fibers and a Vintage Botany Key Charm.

Card #5: I used printed paper and lace for the background (Vintage Botany Fibers). Panel was adhered with foam tape for dimension.

{Sun} Sweets: Cat and Wishes...

Happy Sunday, Beautiful Kraftie Friends!

I've been Spring Cleaning in Summer...took a break to making some stuff!!! Yay!

Here are some cards I've been making...

I stamped Heart (Concord & 9th COZY UP) first. Cat (PURRFECT HOLIDAYS POPPY STAMPS) was stamped using Memento TUXEDO BLACK), colored with Spectrum Noir markers, cut out and adhered on card with foam tape.
Sentiment is a digi from Club Scrap Vintage Botany.

I used Club Scrap Vintage Botany Digital Kit.

After I printed all the elements, I trimmed the papers, inked the edges of one and adhered them on the card and on the inside.

For the outside, I tore 2 images and inked the edges. Then, I trimmed the sentiment and adhered it on.

I trimmed another sentiment and adhered it to the inside...the photo is not very good, but it says: "I would have given you flowers, but I never botany".
