It's the first of the Month...it's a new House of Cards challenge!

This month, the challenge is to use enamel dots...

Here are two of my cards...using DIY enamel dots:

The original concept is not mine...I've seen YouTube videos on how to make your own "pearls" using clear glue sticks, but not colored ones...

Here are some additional tips:

1. Make sure your hot glue gun is really hot! Let it warm up for a few minutes before you start the project.

2. My glues sticks are by SureBonder, but there are other brands and colors available: glitter, neon...

3. If the dots are not quite round or the tips cool down before they "flatten", sometimes you're able to fix them by heating them up with a embossing heat gun. Once the top starts to melt, you should stop heating...otherwise, they start to loose shape, bubble or the glue starts moving around...

4. Changing colors: when you get to the point when the colors start mixing, you can use the mixed glues to actually glue stuff, or depending on the sticks you choose, you can create new colors (I had blue, then yellow and I got aqua/mint).
