I have not one, but two digital scrapbook layouts to share today! But I'll just count it as one towards my Project Scrapbook26 (PS26)...two more to go!
Hello, crafty friends! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving Day!!! My kids love cheese...what about you? See what you can make with cheese boxes, Rubber Dance Art Stamps and EyeConnect Crafts chipboard shapes! I also have a video tutorial, so head over to ECC's Blog to see it! =)
2. Color the background with Gel Sticks (Gelatos) and blend with baby wipes:
3. (not pictured) I used Twin Tags Honeycomb Stencil for the background. I inked with VersaMark and heat embossed the ATCs in clear, for a subtle textured background.
4. Stamp sentiments on white cardstock, trim, ink edges and adhere to ATCs.
5. Add embellishments:
The reindeer and patterned strip are from pocket scrapbooking cards (CTMH).
I stamped garlands on the panel and used silver shimmer trim (CTMH). I added a hand-drawn frame and Glitz Glitter Gel around the panel.
Stamped cookies are Club Scrap (Handmade Holiday stamp set).
Sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches #213 and colors from Stampin'Royalty #304.
A card inspired by Time Out Challenge #44...you're supposed to CASE a card from Karen. And I used the color inspiration from 52CCT: purple & green (although, I used a metallic version):
I used Moroccan Filigree Masking Stencil (Club Scrap), sprayed Color Shine Chartreuse (Heidi Swapp) and trimmed the panel to size. I cut "joy" out of black cardstock with my Cricut and inked in metallic purple.
It's time for a new challenge at The Card Concept - {Festive Glory}!
Come and join us and try your hand at a brand new "style" of card making or work in your comfort zone, it is totally up to you!
Here's the photo inspiration:
Feel free to use any of the styles of our team or better yet, share you own style by combining one or more of the styles. We want you to have fun and make a card in a style that you feel good about!
Here's my mixed media card...I was inspired by the colors and poinsettia plants:
I used pocket scrapbooking cards for my background. I added washi tape and gold dots (dimensional fabric paint). I stamped collage using 2 different inks, tore and inked the edges.
I stamped poinsettia image (Inkadinkado), colored with paint (All-Purpose Ink from Imagine Crafts) and Copic markers and added gold dimensional paint in the center.
Prize is a $15 coupon to the store for our winners.
AND
Prize is 5 digis from the store
Here's my CAS card using sponsor's image: Goody Jars...
I printed a pre-colored jar and a candy on white cardstock and fussy cut it. I colored the candy with Copic marker and added some glitter on the center and on the bow.
I typed my own sentiment and backed them with chevron washi tape. Finally I added some baker's twine.
Club Scrap has a monthly Technique Challenge...and this month is about Watercoloring!
Check Club Scrap's Blog for a video and photo tutorial! Link your projects there for a chance to win a prize!
If you watch the video or read the tutorial, they use grey ink to stamp the images and watercolor pencils + brush to color...since I haven't unpacked all my supplies yet, I have no idea where my watercolor pencils are! =)
But I have these ArtBars by Derwent that work just like the pencils...so here's what I did:
1. I stamped the medallion from Moroccan Spice Borders & Backgrounds stamp set on white cardstock and matted with a brown cardstock. I used a wet brush to pick up color from the ArtBar and watercolored the images using different colors:
2. I worked from the outside to the inside. And I also used yellow in the center of the medallions:
The card was inspired by RetroSketches #189...
I used my washi tapes for the background, stamped the star (Homemade Holiday stamp set) and watercolored it, cut it out and adhered with foam tape.
I added the ribbon, sentiment (with foam tape) and glittery dots (dimensional fabric paint).
I used patterned papers from CTMH for my background and banners...I added some hand-drawn stitches on them and at the bottom.
Twisted Tree is from Creative Vision Stamps...I stamped it, colored with Copics, fussy cut it and adhered on card. Then, I stamped, colored, cut out the "leaves" and adhered them with foam tape.
The prize for this challenge is CTMH
August stamp of the month set called "Framed". It's a $17.95 value, D-size & coordinates with the new
Artistry cartridge!
To
qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your
project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.
And, if you submit a project in our challenge that isn't a card, you
will get two entries for a chance to win the prize instead of one!
This is my project...an explosion box for a friend, who got married recently:
I used foiled and regular patterned paper for the cuts...I used Mini Books and CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridges.
I made some alterations to the cake box in the center, though...I made it shorter by trimming the sides down:
Here's are the pages for photos:
I printed a Bible verse for the top flap and a label for the bottom one - with their names and the wedding date:
I added some embellishments (dimensional stickers) and decorated the "cake" and the lid with flowers and/or dimensional sticker.
