Digital Scrapbooking Software

My mom was here for 5 months and she helped me a lot with my new baby.
As a gift, I made a digital scrapbook album for her. I had the photos from his first month in an 8 x 8 album.
If you know me, you know I love scrapbook papers and embellishments...and I would have loved to handmade a scrapbook album...but being sleep deprived and unable to shop for supplies, I had to create the album digitally.
And I must say, I kind of enjoyed making it!

So, I've found this Scrapbook Software (MyMemories Suite version 2.0) and I've been trying it out...'cause my baby is already 6 months old and I'm already behind! =)

This is one of the layouts I made:

WoW!
It's been almost a year since my last post!

Well, I guess having a baby changes your life completely...

So, in a nutshell, this is what happened...I got pregnant in August 2010...got sick and big, sick and even bigger...until I had the baby in May 2011!
I enjoyed 3 months of maternity leave, went back to work in August 2011, and now I'm still trying to balance baby/family/work/cooking/cleaning, etc...
But this is all good!

The bad thing was that my old laptop broke again and I lost a lot of pictures (again)...
OK...you're thinking...why didn't I saved them somewhere else? Well,...I did, but not everything! haha
But a friend said she might be able to recover them! So, hopefully I'll have them back!

So, I have a new laptop now...and I'm trying to figure out where the photos I haven't posted yet are! =)

Maybe I'll post some of them this week!

So...if you haven't noticed...
I haven't been blogging for a few months now...

Here are the reasons why...

Reason #1: I'm PREGNANT!!! I'll be 21 weeks tomorrow!
Reason #2: I'm not so sick anymore but I can't stand looking at the monitor for more than a couple of minutes!
Reason #3: I feel lazy most of the time!
Reason #4: I'm getting tired already...looking at the monitor...

Anyway...
I haven't been stamping lately either...so nothing new to show off. So, I'll be posting older cards!

Oh, my...
It's been over a month since I last posted...that's sad! =(

I've been busy with work...and the Craft Show...
It's only 2 weeks away and I'm freaking out!

So, the Craft Show is called the Alley Walk and it's in Rockford, IL.
This year it will be on September 11th...
It will be my third time there but this year I'm sharing the spot with my friend Javelin, from
Prim and Plush.

I've been working on cards, tags, premade scrapbook albums and layouts, etc...

Hopefully, I'll have some pictures to post soon...

Meanwhile, I was "cleaning up" my computer the other day and found some cards I haven't posted here yet...
So, here's one of them...since Autumn is almost here! =)

I think I've been too lazy...
...too lazy to unpack, too lazy to create and too lazy to blog...

I've set up my new studio (a.k.a extra bedroom) and I think I like the way it looks. I just need to finish organizing my supplies and decorate the room a little bit more...so, hopefully I'll have some pictures to share soon (my mom has been asking me for them...).
My pets are not allowed in the studio, although they try to get in whenever I open the door... =)

And I have 13 more boxes to unpack!!! 13 to go...I guess I'm almost there...
OK...I'll give myself one more week to unpack...

After moving in my new place and trying to unpack as much as I could, I realized that it's gonna take me a lot longer than I thought...

Angel is just not helping at all! =)

OK, maybe less...hopefully in a week or 2...'cause I have to start creating again!
I have a craft show in September and I'm a month behind!!!

At least I have internet now...don't have to go to Panera anymore...

And the best thing is that I get to go to IKEA and shop!

So we closed this Monday...got the keys...went to the new house and...the locks had been changed!
We couldn't get in and started making phone calls...

Apparently, someone had order the lock change and to make it worse...they also winterized our place...it's not even winter anymore! =)
I was supposed to be in the new house/studio by now!!! AHHH!

I was supposed to close today...and I was supposed to be moving this weekend...
But something happened and now we'll be closing next Monday...

After 7 months or so waiting and waiting...I'm finally moving!!!

I still have to sign some papers before I can move into my new home (and studio) but I'm already packing (at least, that's what my husband told me to do)! =)

So, I've been packing my studio and finding a lot of supplies that I haven't even used yet...or that I "forgot" I had! =)
I probably have enough supplies to keep me busy for a while...so, once again...my husband told me to get rid of them, because I've been buying too much stuff"...

ACEO Limited Edition Prints

ACEO stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals.
They are 2.5" x 3.5", the size of a trading card.

I've listed some prints of my drawings on Etsy...three different breeds of dogs.
They are printed on a heavyweight linen textured cardstock, signed and numbered on the back.

Collage Fair Ladies Bookmarks (set of 2)

These bookmark are great gifts for friends who like to read...or for friends that just like to collect bookmarks! =)

Check them out in my Etsy Shop.

They were hand trimmed to size 1.75" x 6", sprayed with ink, and hand stamped. The corners were rounded and the edges were distressed with brown ink.
Then, they were laminated so they can last for a looong time...and the laminate corners were also rounded.
They come with my stamp and signed on the back.

The final measurement is 2 1/8" x 6.25".

If you need more than 2 bookmarks, please let me know!
Since these are hand-stamped, I cannot reproduce them perfectly...but I can make them look alike! =)

Cupcakes!

I think I been on a rubber stamping "break"...I haven't been stamping much...but I sure am baking a lot!
I've never really baked before though...of course I would make some desert but they wouldn't require baking.
So, I've been trying recipes since Christmas and playing with decorating tips.

Here are some of my first cupcakes:

I have a secret though...they were overcooked at the bottom!
I still have to figure out my oven...it's kind of weird...

Less "half-overcooked" but still...

I have also moved on to bigger projects...a 8" round cake pan from Wilton and a Horse cake pan from IKEA!

I cleaned my kitchen sink with bleach this afternoon and then, I opened the door (and kept the screened door shut) just a little bit because of the smell...
After a few minutes, I decided to close the door...weird, it's not closing...and I pushed it a little bit harder...what in the world...and a cat comes out between the doors looking at me like "what in the world are you doing to me?"!!!
Poor Angel...
She was the reason the door was not closing! =)
The funny thing is that she didn't even meowed when I was pushing the door...
Afterwards, she stayed away from me for a couple of minutes (OK, maybe more than that)...I wonder why...

I was supposed to post this card weeks ago...but then, I went on vacation.
And now I'm sick! =(

So, this is the third card that uses the same sentiment stamp (Inkadinkado) and the same patterned paper (BasicGrey).
I added stamped stitches (The Paper Studio) on the left and a rub-on border (7gypsies).

Happy Thanksgiving Pumpkin Trio Card

The second card that uses the same sentiment stamp (Inkadinkado) and the same patterned paper (BasicGrey)...

The pumpkins are the from the same set as the "Happy Thanksgiving" stamp (Inkadinkado). And the technique is pretty much the same as the card posted the day before.

This week I'll be posting some cards that use the same sentiment stamp (Inkadinkado) and the same patterned paper (BasicGrey)...here's the first one:

I stamped the Pumpkin (Paper Inspirations) and heat embossed in black (UTEE by Ranger). With a sponge dauber (Tsukineko), I colored the image with Brilliance Pearlescent Rust and added some shadows with Memento Rich Cocoa (Tsukineko).
Then I stamped the flourish stamp (Inkadinkado) several times on the edges using Memento Rich Cocoa and adhered the piece to the card front.
For the sentiment, I stamped it with Brilliance Pearlescent Rust on a piece of white cardstock and heat embossed in clear. Then, I distressed the edges with the same ink using the sponge dauber and adhered on card.

I was going through all my posts and I realized that there where some months of 2009 that I only posted once...
I hope I don't stop posting at all now that I will be more busy (at my full time job) until the end of January 2010...

And I can't believe that Autumn is here already! =)
I've been working on some Thanksgiving cards lately...even Christmas cards. Unbelievable! Usually I start much later...

Well, to start the season off with some "Puppy Love"...a scrapbook layout with a picture of Jazz, my sheltie, when he was only 3 months old.

Millennium Park

Saturday, I went downtown with my husband and some friends to Millennium Park. They had the Chicago Dancing Festival (Aug 18-22). Below are some pictures I took from the lawn.

Little One Card

My sister-in-law had a new baby a couple of weeks ago.
Here's the card I made for her.

I used my Slice die-cutting machine (Making Memories) and the Animal Crackers (alligator and "little one") and Basic Shapes 3 (flourish) design cards. I also added glitter to the shapes using a glue pen. For the "grass", I used a scallop border punch (EK Success). The patterned papers are by BasicGrey.

A card for a friend's mother.
For the background, I used my Stylish Flowers Embossing Folder and the Cuttlebug machine. Then, I glued a strip of decorative napkin with ModPodge and let it dry.
To embellish it, I used stickers...for added dimension I stuck some of them on white cardstock and cut them out; then, adhered them on the card with foam squares.
I stamped "Thanks" on white cardstock, inked the edges and adhered on the card with foam squares, too.

Mother's Day

Some ladies and their kids from my church got together one afternoon and made these Mother's Day Bookmarks.
On Mother's Day, we had lunch together. The men sang a song for the mothers and the kids gave them the gifts.

Interlocking Specialty Show 2009

She is a Blue Mitted Ragdoll and her full name is LeCapri Untie the Ribbons (aka Bonnie Angel Eyes).
She is a sweetheart!

Agility Tunnel

For Agility Lovers...
I saw this toy at my sister-in-law's house the other day, and thought that it would be great for practicing at home/yard with your small or medium-sized dog...
So I went to IKEA (I love that store!) and bought the Speja Tunnel at the Children's section!
The dimensions are 18" (height) x 70" (length) and it can be easily stored.
Jazz, my sheltie, loved it!

My internet is finally working again, though!
I didn't really miss it because I was working like crazy (and still am...). But the only thing that bugged me was that I couldn't really send Christmas e-cards to some of my friends!

And I still can't believe that is 2009 already...almost mid-January...
Anyway...one of my New Year's Resolution: use ALL my scraps whenever possible!!!
My craft table is a mess!
Hopefully I'll be able to use most of my scraps so I don't have to throw them away! =)
