Club Scrap Artist Team Challenge: Garden Shed

Friday, September 23, 2016

Hello, Kraftie Friends!

Welcome to Club Scrap Artist Team Challenge Blog Hop!

This month, the challenge is Garden Shed...to incorporate wooden elements into our projects...
If you came from Debbie's Blog, you're in the right place!
This is your last stop, so feel free to go back to Club Scrap's Blog (Karen's post) afterwards!

I decided to use some wooden houses as the starting point:

I bought these wooden houses at Michael's and finally got to play with them!
I painted the sides with pearlescent purple paint and let dry. Then, I traced and trimmed different printed papers (Garden Shed and Sunflowers Collections).

Front:

Back:

I adhered the papers with Gel Medium and let dry. After they were dry, I sanded down the papers and decorated the houses with stamped sentiments, charms, wooden tags and buttons.

House #1

I used Sunflowers Papers, printed the sentiment (Garden Shed Digital Kit), cut it out and inked and distressed the edges.
Butterfly is from Garden Shed Digital Kit and it was cut out and colored with Copic markers.

House #2

Images are from Garden Shed Jumbo and Art Nouveau Unmounted Stamps. Word art was trimmed and had the edges inked and distressed. Watering can was colored with watercolor and Copic marker.
On the back, I used printed images (Garden Shed Digital Kit), colored with Copic markers. I also added Dimensional Magic to the bee.

Challenges:

And If you don't feel like doing a big project...

I stamped images from Club Scrap Garden Shed Jumbo Unmounted Stamps, tore and blended ink on the edges. I added color using Copic markers and adhered them on the card.
Then, I added the Garden Shed Fiber and the Wooden Button (from my Garden Shed Deluxe Kit) on.

  9. This is truly awesome. We are so blessed of you joining our Challenge at Word Art Wednesday and hope you'll join us again in the new Challenge that started today. Leaving you with the encouragement from God's Word in 2 Timothy 2:10 which says, "For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory." Have a wonderful week.
